Fall is in the air. The leaves changing, the grass starting to brown, school is now in full swing for kids of all ages. Change happens, we see it all around us, especially this time of year. Change is also happening here in our office. You may or may not know that Christian decided that after 7 ½ years, it is time for a change for herself. As of October 7, Christian left Middel Realty. She dedicated a lot of her time to us and to you and it is bittersweet to see her leave. Thank you Christian, for all of your hard work over the years.

We would like to introduce you to Mindy. She has joined the Middel Realty as our new property manager. Mindy has already started here in the office and you will see her if you haven’t yet, either in the office or out and about during sprinkler turn off, which is right around the corner.

Maintenance with Colder Weather Approaching

Speaking of sprinkler turn off, it is hard to believe that we are already at that time. The nights are getting colder and now is the time to start preparing for freezes. Please remember to unhook any hoses you have from the spigot at night. It is far too easy to forget, and then when we do have a freeze, you run the risk of having your pipes freeze. We can’t stress it enough, please remove your hoses from the spigot as soon as you are finished using them. If you have a frozen pipe, please call us at 970-297-2847, maintenance will come out and handle it.

Not only do we have the issue of frozen pipes on the outside of your house, you can also run into problems inside your house if you go on vacation during the winter months and turn off your heat. This is a big no-no. If you are heading out of town, turn your heat down to 65 degrees. You can leave the cabinet doors to your sink open as well, to help prevent freezing, but make sure that your heat is on.

Fall also leads to some fun events throughout Fort Collins and Northern Colorado

As we have entered fall, there are some fun events happening around including corn mazes, pumpkin patches, haunted tours through Old Town, and the lighting of Old Town.

Corn Mazes: Harvest Farms Corn Maze

Pumpkin Patches: Something from the Farm,  Bartels Farm

Haunted Tours: Fort Collins Tours

Lighting of Old Town:  November 4th throughout Old Townholiday-lights-old-town

We are wishing you a safe and warm fall. Please don’t hesitate to stop by the office and say hi to Mindy. She is looking forward to meeting all of you. Happy Fall!
